The Balancing Act: Power vs. Heat
Designing a custom lamp is a bit of a tug-of-war. You want a small footprint, but you need serious power. We don’t just look at total brightness. That’s too simple. We look at the specific wavelength (the nm) that your ink actually responds to. More power density means you can crank up your line speed. But here’s the catch: more power equals more heat. If your cooling isn’t up to the task, or if you’re missing a chilled reflector, your material might actually warp. It’s a nightmare. That’s why we tweak the focal point—getting the UV rays right on the target while keeping the heat away from your product.
Hardware That Doesn’t Get in the Way
We build these modules so you can swap them out without losing your mind. Between the standardized connectors and the rigid brackets, you can pull a dead module and plug in a fresh one in a few minutes. It keeps the line moving. We also use high-grade quartz glass. Why? Because cheap glass “solarizes” over time, and your output starts to dip. Our glass stays clear, and your output stays steady.
